Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 15, 2026
EasyQA is a Chrome extension for design QA. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains exactly what data we collect, why, and how it is used.
1. What EasyQA Does
EasyQA is a Chrome extension that helps designers and developers annotate web pages with comments and screenshots for quality assurance (QA) purposes. Users can capture a full-page screenshot, add pin comments, and generate a shareable report.
2. Data We Collect
2a. When You Sign In with Google (Optional)
Signing in is optional. If you choose to sign in with Google, we request the following permissions:
- Your name and profile photo — displayed inside the extension so you can identify which account is active.
- Your email address — used solely to identify your account within the extension. It is never shared or used for marketing.
- Google Drive (drive.file scope) — EasyQA creates a folder called "EasyQA Reports" in your own Google Drive and saves your QA report files there. We only access files that EasyQA itself creates. We never read, modify, or delete any other files in your Drive.
2b. When You Generate a Report (No Sign-In Required)
If you use the share feature without signing in, the following data is temporarily uploaded to our server:
- A screenshot of the web page you are reviewing
- The comments you have added
- The URL of the page being reviewed
This data is stored on our secure Cloudflare infrastructure and automatically deleted after 3 days. It is not linked to any identity and is only accessible via the share link you generate.
2c. When You Sign In and Generate a Report
If you are signed in, your report (screenshot + comments + page URL) is saved directly to your own Google Drive folder. A shareable link is generated pointing to that file. Your data stays in your own Google Drive account — we do not store a copy on our servers.
3. Data We Do NOT Collect
- We do not track browsing history or activity on any website
- We do not collect analytics or usage statistics
- We do not sell, share, or rent your data to any third party
- We do not use your data for advertising
- We do not store your Google credentials — authentication is handled entirely by Google's OAuth system
4. How We Use Google APIs
EasyQA's use of Google APIs is limited to:
- Authenticating your identity when you choose to sign in
- Creating and writing report files to the "EasyQA Reports" folder in your Google Drive
- Reading those same report files to generate shareable links
EasyQA's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
5. Data Storage and Security
Anonymous reports (no sign-in) are stored on Cloudflare R2 object storage with automatic 3-day expiry. Signed-in reports are stored in the user's own Google Drive. All communication between the extension and our server uses HTTPS.
6. Data Deletion
- Anonymous reports — automatically deleted after 3 days. You can also delete them immediately from the shared link page.
- Drive reports — stored in your Google Drive. You can delete them at any time directly from Google Drive. Revoking EasyQA's access in your Google account permissions will also prevent any future access.
7. Children's Privacy
EasyQA is not directed at children under 13 years of age and does not knowingly collect personal data from children.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of EasyQA after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
